About The Role
The Centre for Applied Research (CFAR) undertakes, administers, and facilitates research and related activities. It also serves as an incubation centre for research programmes and projects.
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team to provide essential support to ensure the efficient operation of CFAR Department. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assist in project management, which entails working with an external consultant, managing the data collection and preparation of the report to external stakeholders.
- Provide support to implement research projects and programs, including hiring research manpower and procuring equipment, materials, and vouchers for subjects.
- Assist in audit activities related to research grants and ensure compliance with corporate governance.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders/funders.
- Arrange meetings and take minutes during meetings.
- Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain the departmental webpage and repositories.
- Organize research forums, in-house seminars, events, courses, and workshops.
- Facilitate inhouse publication.
- Support initiatives to promote a research culture at SUSS.
- Handle general administration and maintain departmental records.
- Handle ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any specialized field.
- 1-2 years of experience preferably in research administration. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on good English writing ability.
- Self-starter with problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet computations.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and good judgment.
- Ability to perform information research and data collection.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
