Key Duties Include:
- SOP and Machinery Introduction: Implement company standard operating procedures and provide detailed information on the functions and specifications of packaging machinery.
- Engineering Management: Oversee engineering processes and teams focused on innovating, developing, and manufacturing product packaging, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to cost objectives.
- Material Testing and Selection: Develop processes for testing, analyzing, and selecting materials to ensure packaging durability and cost-effectiveness.
- Supplier and Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure cost-effective procurement of packaging materials, evaluate supplier performance, form long-term partnerships, and negotiate contracts.
- Team Management: Conduct hiring, onboarding, and training for new team members. Perform regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support career development and growth for the team.
- Business Alignment: Align engineering initiatives with business objectives, market trends, and industry developments.
- Innovation and Growth: Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and competitive advantage in packaging solutions.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on project status, team performance, and key metrics to senior management.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all engineering activities, including designs, specifications, test results, and project records.
Technical Skills and Competencies:
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the engineering industry.
- Materials Science and Packaging Technologies: Knowledge of materials science, packaging technologies, and engineering processes.
- CAD Proficiency: Skilled in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Ansys.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Expertise in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation capabilities.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
