Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Business Growth: Drive organic growth by generating revenue from both new and existing customers and markets. Manage all direct sales channels and oversee the bid activities required for these channels.
- Customer Insights: Provide valuable customer feedback to the Product team to ensure a thorough understanding of customer needs and preferences.
- Sales Outreach: Contact assigned customers or prospects to promote and sell company products within a designated geography or market sector. Focus on achieving personal sales targets, developing new business, maintaining customer relationships, and addressing specific customer issues.
- Sales Planning: Develop and implement a sales plan aimed at revenue retention, growth, and new business acquisition for your portfolio or sector. Strive to meet or exceed personal sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
- Client Relationship Management: Create and execute plans to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations. Facilitate effective communication and identify how Survitec can add value and address customer issues.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Set clear objectives for each sales interaction, tailor presentations to engage customer decision-makers, and gather relevant information to assess interest and address any areas needing further clarification.
- Networking and Representation: Build a personal network within the business sector, represent Survitec at industry events, and gather market intelligence to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.
- Solution Configuration: Develop and present solutions, including product and service offerings and contractual terms, that align with customers' mid- to long-term needs. Negotiate agreements within defined commercial parameters.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work internally as the customer advocate within cross-functional teams to strengthen external customer relationships.
Requirements:
- Market Insight: Strong understanding of the Singapore market.
- Growth Experience: Hands-on experience in market expansion and growth.
- Maritime Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with the maritime sector (primarily shipping) in Singapore or seagoing experience.
- Industry Connections: Established connections or contacts with major shipping companies in Singapore, such as:
- Anglo Eastern
- MOL
- BSM
- OSM
- Thome
- CMA CGM
