Roles & Responsibilities:
VFlowTech is involved in the design, development and deployment of Advanced Energy Storage Systems and Microgrids with Energy Management System (EMS) based on Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRFB).
- Lead the design and development of the power control system for flow batteries, including DC side topology, AC output, battery management, energy management, and integration of various sensors and equipment.
- Develop charging and discharging algorithms and manage cloud monitoring and battery charge controllers.
- Produce SLD, BOM, GA of complete power components for fabrication and collaborate with vendors and suppliers.
- Conduct circuit analysis, simulation, PCB layout, sample making, field testing, system integration, testing, and commissioning to meet industrial and IEC standards.
- Work closely with vendors and research partners for the development of suitable DC-DC converters and micro-inverters.
- Specify and design control logics for power conversion systems (PCS), check and correct wiring for PCS cabinets, and define EMS requirements while collaborating with suppliers to meet customer expectations.
- Support circuit testing, standalone test bench development, and travel for commissioning and customer support during SAT.
- Handle customer inquiries, provide support, and prepare necessary reports.
- Lead research projects and the electronics team in India and Singapore, including hiring necessary staff.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate or postgraduate with 3-to-5-year of working experience at the industrial environment, preferably related to battery energy storage system (BESS).
- Excellent communication (in English) and problem-solving skills.
- Should be self-starters and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn new things and adapt with the changes.
- Dynamic person to work closely with Singapore and India team.
Experience and Knowledge:
- Knowledge on the working principles of bi-directional DC-DC and DC-AC power converters for microgrid.
- Experience in specifying and designing power flow and energy management system (EMS) for microgrid.
- Hand-on experience on specifying, installing and commissioning PCS for BESS.
- Able to check and correct the complete power and control circuit wiring for PCS before powering up.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus-RTU, CAN bus, ProfiNet, Ethernet TCP/IP, etc.
- Able to design and code program in C, C++ or Python to carry out repeated testing and communication functions.
- Knowledge working with PLC programming language conforming to IEC61131 e.g. CoDeSys.
- Working knowledge on distributed or centralized microgrid controllers.
- Knowledge in programming HMI and IPC for EMS or SCADA.
