Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and payment processing.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
3. General Ledger:Maintain the general ledger by posting and verifying transactions.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and other accounts.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor actual performance against budget and report variances.
5. Tax Compliance:Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
6. Audit and Internal Controls:Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
7. Financial Analysis:Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
8. Team Collaboration:Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and support company initiatives.
Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.
Qualifications:
· Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
