Job Summary:
The Engineer - Systems supports and maintains both on-premises and cloud infrastructure operations. They lead projects, prioritize tasks, and resolve complex technical issues. This role ensures infrastructure performance, implements improvements, and maintains high availability. Critical thinking and teamwork are essential.
Job Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Planning and Design
- Assist in planning and designing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure systems.
- Assist in document infrastructure design decisions and activities.
Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance
- Perform installations and ongoing maintenance of infrastructure systems.
- Implement changes and maintenance routines, ensuring alignment with service agreements.
Performance Optimization and Management
- Tune and optimize hardware and software components for both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of cloud resources.
- Participate in development activities and infrastructure testing.
- Automate system administration tasks and infrastructure operations.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
Incident Resolution
- Identify and resolve infrastructure incidents and operational problems promptly.
- Recommend system modifications to enhance stability and performance.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and incidents.
- Generate reports on system performance, usage trends, and security metrics.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in IT systems engineering with expertise in cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are advantageous.
