Job Description
- Support the section head in addressing safety and fire concerns.
- Regularly inspect safety protocols across all subsidiaries and suggest corrective actions to section heads when necessary.
- Notify relevant managers of any equipment or processes in subsidiaries posing risks of injury and recommend appropriate fixes.
- Foster safe and healthy work environments through educational initiatives, training sessions, drills, and other activities under the section head's guidance.
- Serve as the leader for fire and hazardous materials (hazmat) management at the plant.
- Conduct safety training for employees upon request.
- Review and approve permits and serve as an assessor for confined spaces and working at heights (WAH).
- Assist in monitoring the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management system and conduct daily inspections of plant facilities.
- Aid in document preparation and control tasks.
- Implement and monitor safety promotions and programs within the plant.
- Manage the legal register and ensure compliance updates.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the section head as needed.
Requirement
- Minimum WSH Level C or Degree in WSH.
- Certified Confined space assessor and Work at Height assessor.
- Preferably WSHO & Fire safety manager.
- Minimum 2 years Safety experience in utility/ manufacturing/ logistic industry/ marine industries only.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Have a safety mindset and display good workplace safety behaviour.
- Be a part of the CERT team and be actively involved in emergency responses whenever called upon.
