Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager / Senior Manager to manage Dsg's integrated marketing strategy and initiatives. The ideal candidate seamlessly integrates online and offline marketing, has the ability to shape creative campaigns, enjoys working with people, and has a keen interest in design. This temporary role is crucial in planning, executing, and optimising our marketing efforts for the Singapore Design Week and managing Dsg’s website refresh project.

DesignSingapore Council’s (Dsg) vision is for Singapore to be an innovation-driven economy and a loveable city through design by 2025. As the national agency that promotes design, our mission is to develop the design sector, help Singapore use design for innovation and growth, and make life better in this UNESCO Creative City of Design. The Dsg is a subsidiary of the Singapore Economic Development Board.

About the Marketing Communications and Content (MCC) Unit

To develop Singapore into a thriving innovation-driven economy and loveable city by design, the MCC unit raises the level of design appreciation by amplifying Dsg’s initiatives, publicising Singapore design and designers, and advocating the impact and value of design. The unit also advances the Singapore Design Brand internationally, elevating Singapore’s reputation as a leading UNESCO Creative City of Design and a thought leader for Global-Asian design excellence.

Responsibilities

This role reports to the Assistant Director of Marketing Communications and Content at Dsg, and your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Campaign Strategy and Development

  • Implement the development of branded content for cross-platform distribution, curating rollout based on key messages and events.
  • Manage the Overall Marcomms Calendar, coordinating digital and social content across website, social media, and performance marketing channels.

Digital Marketing Campaigns

  • Develop, implement, track, and optimise digital marketing campaigns across all channels, including inbound marketing, email marketing, social media (Website, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), paid advertising, and SEO/SEM.
  • Plan and execute advertising buys and placements to achieve campaign KPIs, including social platforms, display networks, SEM, email, content partnerships, and OOH advertising.
  • Analyse and map customer journeys across multiple touchpoints, using insights to design more effective marketing campaigns. Administer and ensure governance, data cleanliness, and overall health of digital marketing systems.

Performance Analysis and Optimisation

  • Analyse, measure, and report monthly performance of all digital marketing campaigns against goals (ROI and KPIs) across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Continuously optimise digital marketing strategies based on performance data.

Website and Technical Management

  • Manage the re-design of the Dsg website.
  • Maintain the Dsg Website, facilitating content development and creating evergreen content to profile Dsg's initiatives.
  • Support the team in performing Webmaster functions, managing maintenance and technical development.
  • Manage appointed agencies for web development, maintenance, and hosting.

Event Marketing

  • Manage and execute marketing plans for Dsg's digital events to drive awareness and attendance.
  • Support specific initiatives, exhibitions, and programmes, representing Marcomms at cross-functional meetings and, assembling Marcomms personnel and resources to drive overall take-up and participation. Activities may include media & PR, content marketing, partnerships, promotions, collateral and merchandise development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required
  • At least 3 to 8 years of proven working experience in digital marketing
  • Highly creative with demonstratable experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate user action
  • Strong proficiency in optimising and executing SEO/SEM, PPC, social media ads and Display Advertising. You also have a strong knowledge of Google Analytics and CRM software
  • Possess working knowledge in designing marketing automation processes, lead generation campaigns, optimising landing pages and user funnels and A/B testing
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Independent and highly adaptable to changes. Is able to juggle multiple projects with good time management. Team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
