Summary

The Senior/Executive, Payroll is responsible for preparing/processing payroll and related functions for the organization and comply with all statutory requirement.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • End-to-end processing of entities’ payroll. Ensure timely and accurate payment of salary to all staff
  • Liaise with HR for necessary instructions and documents required for payroll processing.
  • Process new hire, part timer, intern and resigned staff salary computations including interface and update the necessary data into the payroll system
  • Interface and verify mid-month process expenses, claims on shift allowance, overtime and other allowance/recovery paid via payroll runs.
  • Monthly payroll headcount reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Ensure proper documentation and timely and accurate submissions of payroll related such as CPF, Income Tax for respective statutory filing within the stipulated deadlines.
  • Ensure timely submission of government paid leave applications such as National Service, Paternity, Maternity, Childcare leave and foreign worker levy waivers. Ensure claims are tracked and credited to Company.
  • Government grants accrual breakdown by cost centre allocation to Finance
  • Prepare Payroll summary and reconciliation for GL interface and upload into SAP.
  • Ensure statutory compliances and liaise with banks, auditor and other regulatory bodies
  • Compile statutory and other statistical information ad hoc reports/surveys as required
  • Support payroll audit / systems implementation/upgrading as required
  • Liaising / attend to queries on payroll variances raised by staff / Business Unit
  • Any other adhoc assignments and project as and when assigned.


Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree qualification in a relevant field of study (Finance/Accounting/HRM)
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of payroll relevant experience
  • Familiar with SAP / PAYmast environment is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of manpower regulations such as Employment Act, CPF Act, Tax regulation and statutory payments requirements.
  • Meticulous and strong attention to details.
  • Analytical and have a flair for figures
