Eagle Brand is a well-known and trusted Singaporean consumer healthcare brand, with over 100 years of history, is seeking a dynamic Assistant QC Chemist to join the team.

Responsibilities

1. Comprehensive Product Testing: Conduct daily routine testing for in-process products, finished products, and raw materials. Provide detailed and accurate test result reports to ensure product quality and consistency.

2. Laboratory Equipment Management: Ensure all laboratory testing equipment, instruments, and sampling tools are meticulously cleaned, dry, and ready for use.

3. Quality Assurance: Perform all required tests in strict accordance with established procedures.

4. Sample Management: Properly label and store retention samples under specified conditions, following standard procedures to maintain integrity.

5. Adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP): Execute tasks following GLP to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and safety.

6. Laboratory Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the QC laboratory, ensuring all equipment and premises are in optimal condition. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment through regular housekeeping.

7. Procurement: Handle the purchasing of laboratory chemicals and consumables to ensure seamless operations.

8. Support Functions: Assist with packaging materials testing in the absence of other Assistant Chemist. Take on additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.


Requirements

1. Diploma/Degree in Chemistry or a related science field.

2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the FMCG/Manufacturing industry.

3. Hands-on experience in operating Gas Chromatography (GC).

4. Proven experience in quantitative analysis using chromatographic techniques.

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

6. Independent, self-driven, strong communication skills with excellent analytical abilities.

7. Immediate availability is highly preferred.
