Role:
- Design and develop SAN storage solutions tailored to meet the needs of enterprise clients.
- Write and maintain scripts and software to automate storage management tasks.
- Optimize storage systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Integrate SAN storage solutions with various operating systems and applications.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of storage systems.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for SAN storage systems.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and backup procedures.
- Ensure data integrity and security across all storage systems.
- Create and maintain documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Generate reports on storage usage, performance, and capacity planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing SAN storage solutions.
- Strong background in storage technologies, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, RAID, and LUN management.
- Experience with storage arrays from major vendors such as EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, or IBM.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with storage management software and tools.
- Strong understanding of networking and server infrastructure.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
