Objectives of the Position

  • Be accountable for business results (in terms of contribution margin, volume and working capital) of respective Strategic Business Units(SBUs) of Intermediates Division in the ASEAN-sub-region.
  • Upon request, and as defined, by respective SBUs, be supportive to achieve business results (e.g. management of contacts, cross-Strategic Business Unit initiatives, digitalization)
  • Manage the overall ASEAN sub-region cost and service demand including cost allocated in the countries by various functional & service units, for the SBUs strongly aligned with the respective business steering team. Issue early alert or escalate in a timely manner to Regional Business Unit controlling and Strategic Business Unit business management when necessary.
  • Represent Intermediates in country strategic initiatives e.g. Net Promoter System, Sustainability Roadmap, Customer networks.

Main Tasks

  • Develop strategic management relationship with key accounts, and act as advocators of such key accounts within the organization.
  • Disciplinary steering of the ASEAN sub-region for Intermediates Asia Pacific
  • Be responsible for the lifting the overall competency level of the entire Intermediates Asia Pacific organization to business requirement as business/market evolves.
  • Apply a strategic view to plan resources and proactively drive alignment with relevant stakeholders on the country and regional level.
  • Constantly optimize processes and implement structural solution to safeguard a highly efficient and empowered organization, which provides reliable and differentiating services to customers.
  • Actively drive talent identification, development, and retention for the Intermediates ASEAN
  • Execute employees survey process.
  • Ensure adherence to global and regional Business & Safety Compliance

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry or other related field
  • Minimum 15 years of regional and cross-country experience in Sales & Marketing, preferably in Chemical Industry, with at least 7 years in management or leadership.
