Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in foundry processes, CNC machines, and robotics. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production and high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
Foundry Process Management:
- Develop and optimize foundry processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Monitor and control the foundry environment, including temperature, humidity, and material properties.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the foundry process.
- Ensure the safe operation of foundry process
CNC Machines & Robotics:
- Prepare Program for CNC machines to produce precision parts.
- Develop and implement CNC machining processes, including tool selection, fixture design, and machining strategies.
- Integrate robotic systems into CNC machining processes to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Ensure the safe operation of CNC machines and robotic systems, adhering to safety standards.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Conduct time studies and develop standardized work procedures.
Quality Control:
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to conduct inspections and audits.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes and procedures (SWI, HARC & MPI).
- Generate reports on production metrics, process improvements, and equipment performance.
- Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in leading manufacturing process improvements
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in manufacturing.
Good to have
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies such as additive manufacturing and industrial automation.
Work Environment
- This position may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, and fumes in a manufacturing setting.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection may be required.
