Assistant Production Manager
Report to: Project Manager
Min Qualifications / Experience:
Diploma/Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience
Job Skills Required:
Possess broad and deep knowledge of production and project management, problem solving, interpersonal & leadership skills
Responsible for/authorised to:
a) Responsible for daily operations of project, workshop and store functions.
b) Overall planning of production resources to ensure maximum utilization of manpower, facilities and materials.
c) Monitor, plan and expedite all fabrication works to meet delivery schedule.
d) Plan and review the upgrade of machinery equipment to achieve higher productivity and efficiency.
e) Plan and maximize the working area in the workshop and open yard for fabrication work.
f) Problem solving in fabrication, maintenance and projects issues.
g) Provide guidance and assistance, where necessary to project engineers in the management of projects.
h) Participate in the evaluation of contractors and suppliers short-listed by Procurement.
i) Participate in technical and commercial discussion with client, inspectors, contractors and internal departments.
j) Ensure a clean and safe working environment and maintain discipline in the in the production workforce including contractors.
k) Any adhoc projects assigned by General Manager
