Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute freight and logistics strategy
- Manage all strategic supplier relationships
- Utilise knowledge in freight classification, routing, ports, rates and claims management
- Lead the development of freight management processes (Breakbulk)
- Conducts regular pricing reviews with service providers
- Manage freight global operational performance and drive 3PL improvements
- Weekly freight report
- Meeting suppliers as and when travelling oversea is required
Requirements:
- Msc / Degree qualification
- Min 8 years of global breakbulk cargo experience
- Experience in special steel /Iron Ore trading environment will be a big plus
- Strategic planning experience in breakbulk will be a plus
- Good knowledge of shipping operations and documentation, chartering, cargo loading.
- Ship Broker / Agent background will be highly valued
- Contract management experience
