Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining the quality of food and beverages, and optimizing profitability. The Cafe Manager will also handle administrative duties such as scheduling, ordering supplies, and managing budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, and supervise cafe staff.
• Create staff schedules and manage payroll.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
2. Customer Service:
• Ensure excellent customer service and address customer complaints or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for customers.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Operations Management:
• Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures for food and beverages.
4. Financial Management:
• Manage budgets and financial records.
• Monitor sales and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts.
• Implement cost-saving measures and revenue-generating initiatives.
5. Marketing and Promotions:
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
• Organize events and promotions to boost sales.
• Maintain a strong online and social media presence.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Cafe Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of cafe operations, including food and beverage preparation.
• Ability to manage budgets and financial records.
• Proficient in using cafe management software and point of sale (POS) systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
