Responsibilities:
a) Responsible for the end-to-end testing activities of an integrated e- payment system;
b) Carry out the activities in the testing lifecycle including test planning, analysing business and system requirements;
c) Designing and developing the test cases and procedures or test automation solution;
d) Preparing the test environment;
e) Executing the test procedures;
f) Logging and tracking defects to closure; and
g) Conducting test reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
a) Recognised degree or equivalent in Information Technology or
or developing test automation solution involving devices (UI-based or embedded) and/or back-office systems;
b) Possess a strong interest and self-motivation to carry out testing with the objective to contribute towards a better quality software/system;
c) Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
d) Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;
e) Familiarity with the full system development lifecycle from requirement, development, to testing and deployment;
f) Relevant experience and competence with the tools used for test management, configuration management and defect tracking;
g) Familiarity with database administration;
h) Certification in software testing;
i) Experience in micro-payment or Automatic Fare Collection systems using Smart Card; and
j) Skilled in executing testing or developing test automation solution, he/she shall also possess either one of these sets of skills:
Either
i. Good capability in developing effective test cases and procedures from analysing business requirements and system use cases; and
ii. Competent in executing testing activities (including System Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing) which include preparation of the test environment, test execution, recording of test results, conducting of test reviews with both internal and external stakeholders, to logging of and following up on defects to closure.
Or/And
i. Competent and having a keen interest in software development, particularly in the area of test automation;
ii. Relevant experience and competence with at least one test automation tool, to develop test automation application and scripts; and
iii. Good capability in developing design documents and user manuals which could effectively describe and provide clear instructions on the test automation solution to the end users who include testers and stakeholders.
