The Role

Sales and Business Development for the Corporate and Transaction Banking technology products in Singapore. This is upto an AVP level Individual contributor role

 

Our Client is looking for a high potential future leader with a strong work ethic and the appetite to build and grow a quality business in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have six to ten year experience in a sales or business development role in this sector, be adept in consultative selling, preparing proposals and making pitch presentations, dealing with executive stakeholders, having strong project management skills and experience in managing bank client relations and process. Knowledge of banking products and services, technology investment and deployment is highly regarded.

 

Responsibilities

 1.    Own and exceed annual sales targets for Financial Product suite (iGTB) across banks in Singapore. Work closely with Sales, Presales, proposals and Delivery colleagues at every stage of sales pursuits from qualification until contracting.

 

2.    Nurture and grow partnerships with banks.. Understand their business needs and objectives.

 

3.    Engage deeply across a set of key banking relationships in Singapore on day to day activities. Entrenching yourself into the organisation to become a trusted partner at working level. Seeking out new opportunities to grow existing relationships.

 

4.    Collaborating with internal partners to develop and execute strategic accounts plans for each (target) client to deliver these targets and expand the customer base.

 

5.    Delight clients by ensuring the teams deliver meaningful responses to client’s enquiries on a timely basis. Deliver effective client demos and presentations in supporting sales opportunities.

 

6.    Completing sales administration including timely/weekly updates into Eagle, weekly activity reporting, liaising with clients on documentation to close deals and collection and reconciliation.

 

7.    Support Sales with RFP/Tender responses and proposals including being responsible for and/or contributing to the structured and unstructured pursuit material as necessary.

 

8.    Stay current with market trends and observe functional, regulatory and technical changes and advances.

 

9.    Demonstrate the consultative selling process to grow business based on a strong understanding of the banks’ Transaction Banking business across Cash and Liquidity Management, Trade and Supply Chain Finance.

 

10.  Reasonable understanding of Consumer Banking and Wealth Management Product offerings as well.

 

11.  Achieve a mastery of the products and solutions in order to effectively position and present their services with prospective and current customers including being able to carry a conversation with the necessary level of functional knowledge.

 

12.  Engage in targeted brand building initiatives. Work across Sales, Product, Solutions, Business teams to influence or shape Go To Market strategies, execution strategy, market development plans, marketing plans, PR campaigns. Attend, present and help with marketing activities.

 

13.  Handle product positioning, local branding activities, product campaigns and events. Effectively communicate the Value Proposition through proposals and presentations.

 

14.  Monitor reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts. Understand key financial services and banking trends to qualify opportunities.

 

15.  Provide functional and domain related inputs for solutioning of RFP / RFI / Market Scans. Secure a very strong understanding of their solution offerings, practices and services in order to represent their solutions and understand client requirements in context.

 

16.  Contribute to the development of the Presales strategy, and coordinate proposals and presentations to prospects and leads with regards to functional compatibility and feasibility.

 

 

Qualities, Experience and Skills

 

1.    Humble, hungry and clever.

2.    Experience in Selling Banking Technology Products to the Transaction Banking/Trade Finance/Cash Management Space .

3.    Presentable with excellent communication skills and able to cultivate high quality relationships.

4.    A disciplined Business Development person with atleast 6-12 years of experience.

5.    Self-confidence to quickly learn the product suite and confidently give demos/presentations and conduct workshops with banks across the ANZ region.

6.    Curiosity with how technology works and can be applied – strategically and operationally.

7.    Should be familiar with the corporate transaction banking space and able to progress the discussions/open new threads.

8.    Could be a sales/pre-sales consultant for BFSI Solutions in Singapore.
