Our client is an established professional services provider with a comprehensive services offering. They are looking for a Head of Legal to lead their legal and compliance function in their Singapore office.
about the job
As part of the senior management team, you will play a key leadership role in to lead the legal and compliance function and to provide pragmatic legal solutions to support the growth of the business whilst mitigating risks to the business. You will also act as the key interface to regulators and stakeholders on all Singapore regulatory matters. Aside of the day-to-day legal matters, you will also be driving corporate transactions, conducting legal audits and providing relevant trainings to business stakeholders on legal and risks. You will also be appointed as the Data Protection Officer and will be responsible for driving and implementing the relevant policies and SOPs.
skills and experience required
You are a Singapore qualified lawyer with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience gained with a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal environment. Prior experience in the trust and fiduciary services space will be highly regarded. Equipped with strong commercial sense and track record in stakeholder management, you are highly self-motivated and enjoy working with stakeholders and regulators across levels.
