The Production Assistant will support the daily operations in the frozen fish processing facility. This role involves assisting in the preparation, processing, packaging, and storage of fish products while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to follow instructions, and committed to maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.
Job Description
1. Production Support:
- Assist in planning and executing daily production activities to meet targets.
- Monitor processes and workflow to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to quality standards and schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues on the production floor.
2. Maintenance and Repairs:
- Plan for routine inspections and preventive maintenance of machinery.
- Plan for repairs and replacements of faulty components, as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
3. Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with relevant teams on improvement projects and monitor changes in production processes
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques to streamline production operations, and monitor changes in production processes to ensure optimal performance.
4. Quality Control:
- Ensure the product processing process meets company quality standards through regular inspections and tests, and address quality issues promptly when necessary.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintained accurate production logs of production processes, equipment maintenance, and repair activities.
- Document process changes and updates in production procedures.
- Assist in preparing technical reports and project documentation, as required
6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with production operators, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
- Communicate effectively to coordinate production activities and address cross-functional issues.
7. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards within the production area.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Assist in training staff on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Requirement:
- Minimum Diploma and above.
- Willingness to work in a cold/wet environment and use of protective clothing and equipment is required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel & Word).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
