Purpose of the role:
Working in Singapore and throughout APAC, the role holder will be responsible, but are not limited to, monitoring, troubleshooting, problem resolution, for a large service provider network infrastructure. You will lead the Network operations work with internal/external clients, operations/systems, financial exchanges and Network Engineers to investigate and solve system issues and participate in business analysis. A key requirement of this job is flexibility as the role holder will be expected to work in short change windows, late at night and out of hours (including periodic Saturdays and Sundays).
Responsibilities and duties:
This includes, but is not limited to the following services:
- Manage the Book of work for the Network Operations Team
- Ensure stability of Network Services
- Perform Day to Day Technical Troubleshooting and Deployments.
- Perform daily checkouts of the environment and following any changes
- Generate, Follow Up, and Complete tickets for customer and carrier events
- Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools
- Application of configuration changes via our change control systems and processes
- Perform peer review of configurations scheduled for deployment
- Installation of network hardware and software
- Participate in 1st or 2nd shift and on-call rotation
- Troubleshoot internal and external customer issues
- Participate in daily meetings to review changes and underlying impacts
- Report back to network engineering team for technical guidance and direction
Education, Skill and Background:
- 10+ years of experience working on network equipment in an ISP style environment or a large NOC
- Experience in managing a remote team.
- Experience with Juniper, Arista, and/or Cisco hardware and software
- Experience working on network equipment in an ISP style environment or a large NOC
- CCNA certified or equivalent level of knowledge
- Basic understanding of the following technologies:
- IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP)
- Firewalls (VPNs, Policies)
- Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Multicast Routing (IGMP, PIM)
- NAT (Static, Dynamic)
- Ability to analyze and diagnose problems and effectively lead to system recovery
- Clear verbal and written communicator
- Capable of prioritizing and managing own workload
- Self-motivated
- Capable of working with little supervision
- Creative thinker with out of the box ideas
- Keen to contribute ideas, share knowledge, and help others develop
- Interested in cutting edge technology

Working Arrangement:
This position is based in Singapore and is an office based position. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent. The role holder will be expected to work whatever hours are necessary for the performance of this role (recognizing that it involves multiple jurisdictions / geographies including but not limited to EMEA, USA and APAC).
