Job Description: -
- Responsible for the maintenance for vessels and their equipment to ensure comply to the flag state administration and class.
- Monitor and arrange statutory and classification surveys for vessels.
- Coordinate the supply of stores, e.g spares, and consumables.
- Coordinate the repairs, defect rectifications, and modifications.
- Monitor adherence to company standards and charterer requirements.
- Assist in controlling and monitoring costs relevant to the technical department.
- Maintain and upkeep technical manuals, drawings, and catalogues.
- Coordinate with ship crew for the accident/ incident investigation related to technical matters such as equipment and failure/ malfunction.
- Manage audits and inspections required by the recognized organization (RO) - ISM, ISPS and MLC.
Job Specifications:
- Diploma in Marine Engineering or its equivalent and COC Class 3
- Minimum 3 years relevant working experience.
- Able to work independently and in fast paced environment
- Process high initiative with good communication skills
- Excellent Team player who is meticulous and efficient
