As a Senior Product Engineer in the Non-Volatile Engineering (NVE) Product Engineering organization at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be part of a brilliant team of engineers that solves complex problems. You will be responsible for enabling Micron’s NAND products with seamless and issue free release to both internal and external non-volatile system customers.
In this role (Speed and Datapath), you will formulate and execute high speed related activities on the latest RG NAND designs. When device issues are uncovered, you will perform detailed failure analysis and work closely with the various Engineering and Development groups to resolve the observed issues.
Key Responsibilities :
- Study the latest RG NAND designs, and develop test program to implement features testing.
- Characterization, debug, and validation of NAND including digital and analog circuitry from ONFI performance perspective.
- Collaborate with NAND Design, MFG, Product and System teams to drive yield improvement
- Use high-speed tester hardware to perform correlation of new NAND devices, perform Failure Analysis during the correlations, and investigate root causes of reported yield loss
- Analyzing large data sets on NAND characteristics, improving design margin and functionality. Ability to explore the connections between simulations and real life silicon scenarios preferred (Sim-to-Silicon).
- Required: Self-driven capability to coordinate with global design and product teams for volume data collection, analysis, identifying trends, root causing observed deviations/anomalies & coming up with innovative long term robust solutions, especially from a fundamental Design angle as well as Testing/Coverage point of view. Sense of ownership is essential
- Automation of program development and work processes using scripting
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Computer Engineering with 3 years and above relevant experience in NAND related product and/or test program development
- Good operating knowledge of CMOS Devices/Design/Circuits and operation
- Tester knowledge (Magnum, Advantest etc.) + Coding skills (tester coding, python, perl, C++)
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Software development proficiency (e.g. C-based programming) and scripting (e.g. Perl, Python)
- Keen interest in design validation
- Good multitasking and organizational skills
