Head of Marketing, Cardiac Rhythm Management (Asia Pacific)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Reporting to the VP, Sales Asia Pacific, the above role is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets. Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and provides the leadership to support the country’s mid to long term business development objectives. Specific responsibilities include business and market development; market research and planning; strategic direction for promotion and advertising; coordination with sales; hiring and directing the day-to-day activities of marketing professionals. The incumbent will gather, analyze data from all the relevant sources and communicatethe market requirements for the product roadmaps from the region to headquarters.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Serves as senior marketing officer of the region, providing support in marketing strategy and management.
  • Develops the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics, and resources necessary to achieve goals.
  • Oversees and provides direction to market and competitor analysis.
  • Provides leadership, direction, and management of the market research function.
  • Ensures all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources.
  • Provides marketing skills and expertise to the region by building, developing, and managing a marketing team capable of carrying out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Maintain close communications with global HQ, sales organization by providing market analysis, competitive information, and critical product information through the development of key materials and communication media.
  • Guide the Training & Education team in the preparation of presentations, lectures and publications related to BIOTRONIK’s products.
  • Monitor and report market trends and developments to create additional sales in new regional markets. Facilitates new customer development, among the well-known decision-making doctors, through direct personal contact in a supporting role to the Sales force.
  • Facilitate the planning and implementation of advertising and promotional activities within the region’s philosophy.
  • Knowledge of implanting physician segments, key trends within the segments and can analyze and identify potential opportunities.
  • Knowledge of Product Life Cycle Management.
  • Keep abreast of commercial approved products in your market.
  • Define CRM / EP strategy & roadmap that meets the objectives of the brand by using relevant metrics of BIOTRONIK products to inform on how best to build product roadmap.
  • Organize BIOTRONIK’s key marketing campaigns, working collaboratively with local team.


QUALIFICATIONS


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ solid experience in CRM, of which min. 2 years of managing a team.
  • Good knowledge of key trends within the medical device segments and can analyze and identify potential opportunities.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management and development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of the AP region and global level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals across the regions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
