Role Overview and Responsibilities:
1. Teaching Excellence and Innovation
• Teach and Assess in undergraduate level courses, and/or graduate
level programs
• Plan and deliver high-quality instruction in assigned
programs/modules.
• Develop and update module materials
• Implement innovative teaching strategies and integrate technology
• Adapt teaching approaches based on student needs
2. Curriculum Development and Support:
• Contribute to curriculum design and updates in area of expertise
• Provide input on curriculum as requested
3. Student Engagement and Support:
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Provide academic guidance and mentorship
• Facilitate student learning in theory, practice, and professional
development
4. Assessment and Evaluation:
• Administer fair and comprehensive assessments
• Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work
• Contribute to assessment processes as directed
5. Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate records and submit regular reports
• Complete necessary administrative tasks related to assigned
courses
6. Professional Development and Artistic Engagement:
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities
• Maintain active involvement in the field
• Stay updated with field developments and integrate new
knowledge into teaching
7. Collaboration and Community Engagement:
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations and workshops
• Participate in recruitment processes when needed
• Contribute to the college's artistic reputation through engagement
activities
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field for undergraduate level teaching;
Master's degree for graduate level teaching
Demonstrated excellence in field of expertise
Experience in designing and implementing courses in relevant
disciplines
Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity in education
Skills and Competencies:
Strong pedagogical skills and innovative approaches to education
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in relevant technology and digital tools

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The role involves a mix of desk work and active teaching. Adjunct lecturers
focus primarily on delivering instruction in their assigned courses.
The job typically does not require lifting weights exceeding 10 kg (22 lbs).
Teaching duties may involve:
Standing for extended periods during lectures and demonstrations
Potential exposure to various materials and equipment
Occasional moving of equipment
Travel between classrooms and studios on campus
