- Reviews tender documents / Requests for Proposals to understand project details and requirements;
- Reviews and interprets engineering documentation such as drawings/specifications/scope of works to fully understand the project requirements for detailed and accurate estimating;
- Provide detailed and accurate quantity and component take-offs against the technical drawings, specifications and scope of work documentation;
- Provide timely clarifications for ongoing submission within the tender duration;
- Provide current and competitive industry schedule of rates against the take-offs;
- Communicate and negotiate competitive rates with suppliers and sub-contractors;
- Coordinates with other discipline estimators and Engineers;
- Other Duties
Requirements:
- Prior Electrical Cost Estimating Experience in the Construction Industry.
- Prior Industrial Projects Cost Estimating Experience. (Desirable but not mandatory).
- Proficient in supporting medium to large scale projects.
- Proficient in preparing, co-ordination and consolidation of all estimating activities.
- First Principle Pricing. (Desirable but not mandatory).
- Estimating Electrical Works such as
- Power (HV, MV, LV) Equipment: Switchgears, Transformers, Generator, and UPS.
- Distribution and Containment, Lighting, Earthing, and Lightning Protection.
- Estimating ELV System Works for Facility Management System, IT & Communication, Fire Alarm, Access Control & CCTV, and Public Address system would have great advantages.
- Formal and informal communication various Project Stakeholders.
