The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing network infrastructure for our clients. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their network requirements, deploying network solutions, and ensuring the reliability and performance of network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation:
- Design and configure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
- Implement network solutions based on client requirements, industry best practices, and company standards.
- Collaborate with other engineers and IT professionals to integrate network solutions with existing systems.
- Network Management:
- Monitor network performance and reliability using network management tools and techniques.
- Perform regular network maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and hardware failures.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential risks.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and policies.
- Prepare and present regular reports on network performance, incidents, and improvements.
- Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for future reference.
- Client Interaction:
- Work closely with clients to gather and analyze network requirements and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Offer technical support and guidance to clients during and after the implementation of network solutions.
- Provide training to clients on network management and best practices as needed.
- Project Management:
- Manage network projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and post-deployment support.
- Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Ensure that network projects adhere to budget, scope, and quality requirements.
