We will count on you to:

  • Be a highly motivated and independent self-starter

  • Proactive and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and deliver timely and thoughtful solutions.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation and arbitrations involving Marsh and Mercer companies in Asia
  • Provide legal advice on complex and sensitive matters regarding various laws applicable to insurance, investment, careers and healthcare and wellness
  • Provide legal counsel in connection with internal investigations, subpoenas, and responses to government inquiries
  • Acquire and leverage deep knowledge of the industry and the specific business practices of the various lines of business within Marsh and Mercer to advise senior business leaders
  • Provide a full range of legal counsel and advocacy related to all lines of business within Marsh and Mercer
  • Provide legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations, risks and privileges of the organization
  • Protect the organization’s rights in contract negotiations, disputes, settlements and litigation
  • Conduct training on E&O mitigation
  • Oversee the management of outside counsel and review their work product
  • Stay updated on new and changing laws and regulations, providing relevant advice

What you need to have:

  • An LLB, LLM or Juris Doctorate degree
  • Proven admission to bar and good standing in one or more jurisdictions
  • 4+ years of complex commercial litigation experience with law firm or in-house legal department managing all phases of litigation
  • Proven strategic thinker with experience evaluating and determining legal course of action to meet business needs
  • Proven well-developed written and verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Significant experience managing eDiscovery
  • Demonstrated ability in high-performing team development and management
  • Adaptability to change and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Proven track record in managing outside counsel
