Key Responsibilities:
- Linux System Administration:Create, modify, and execute shell scripts to automate system tasks.
Manage and configure Ansible playbooks for automation and configuration management.
Administer and optimize Apache and Nginx web servers.
Handle permission and user management.
Perform system hardening and patching to maintain security and compliance.
Troubleshoot and resolve Linux OS-related issues.
- Windows System Administration:Administer Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
Create, modify, and execute PowerShell scripts for automation and system management.
Manage Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for patch management.
Configure and maintain Internet Information Services (IIS) web servers.
Perform permission management and system hardening.
Troubleshoot and resolve Windows OS-related issues.
- General Responsibilities:Independently troubleshoot common operating system-related issues.
Ensure systems are secure, optimized, and compliant with industry standards.
Collaborate with other IT team members to support and enhance the overall IT infrastructure.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve system performance and security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in system administration, with a strong focus on both Linux and Windows environments.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and PowerShell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Apache, Nginx, AD, GPOs, WSUS, and IIS.
- Strong understanding of system hardening practices and patch management.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Relevant certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, MCSE, or equivalent.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
