Primary Function:
To perform NDT inspection in Rolls-Royce Seletar premises in an efficient and effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify surface or very near surface discontinuities in a weld or critical area of engine component using Eddy Current and Ultrasonic Inspection.
- Use Portable handheld scanning technique to detect surface and subsurface defects.
- Perform FPI and inspect under UV light for flaws open to the surface such as cracks, laps, etc.
- Perform Binocular Inspection which is capable of viewing up to 40X magnification.
- Monitor the usage and performed calibration on NDT equipment and measuring instrumentation.
- Ensure all tasks achieve agreed quality standards and deadlines in line with customer OEM and Company requirements.
- Work within NDT team to achieve optimum levels of performance, being particularly aware of On-Time Delivery.
- Ensure that processes and procedures are followed to ensure all tasks are performed efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Comply with all safety procedures and legislation associated with NDT and aeronautical product.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma holder and equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years aviation NDT experience.
- Solid experience in Ultrasonic and Eddy Current Inspection (must have completed all necessary practical hours).
- Possess good analytical skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft office tools.
- Be detail-oriented.
- Be able to use wide range of tools and instruments.
- Have a good eyesight and color vision.
- Available to work on flexible working hours.
