Introduction:
As a Data Engineer, you will be reporting to the Lead Data Engineer and support problem-solving on any database platform and deliver robust recommendations to effectively store, secure, and manage data. You will assist the Lead Data Engineer in the development and adoption of cross-platform products/roadmap, recommend overall sizing of infrastructure for data and analytics platforms.
Your Job:
- Partners with machine learning engineers, BI, and solutions architects to develop technical architectures for strategic enterprise projects and initiatives.
- Develops and delivers communication and education plans on analytic data engineering capabilities, standards, and processes.
- Learns about machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or applied mathematics as necessary to carry out role effectively.
- Fosters a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scale stability, and operational efficiency for data and analytical solutions
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related roles, with a focus on digital manufacturing or industrial applications.
- Exposure in ELT and data analysis, SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Pyspark, Python)
- Conceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as dimensional modeling, reporting tools, data governance, and structured and unstructured data.
- Strong understanding on agile methodologies and experience as a Data Engineer on a cross-functional agile team preferred.
- Sees value in taking an iterative design approach, has a strong sense of ownership and proactively advocates for the end user.
