We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in large language models and natural language processing. Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable applications leveraging large language models and natural language processing techniques.
- Collaborate with research teams to implement and optimize cutting-edge algorithms for language understanding, generation, and manipulation.
- Architect and maintain infrastructure for training and deploying language models, ensuring efficient and reliable production-grade performance.
- Collaborate closely with product managers to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in natural language processing to drive continuous innovation.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to the overall technical excellence of the engineering team.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and other technical constraints.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. PhD is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering in the area of AI and Deep Learning development.
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals with proven track record of designing and deploying large language models, such as GPT, BERT, or similar.
- Familiarity with working in a Linux environment on public clouds and locally with extensive hands-on experience with natural language processing libraries and frameworks, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, TensorRT, spaCy, NLTK, or equivalent.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.
- Solid grasp of software engineering principles, software design patterns, and architectural best practices.
- Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with databases and data storage solutions, such as SQL, NoSQL, vector databases, and caching systems. (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Milvus, MinIO, Redis)
- Experience with designing and implementing real-time data processing, event-driven architectures using message queuing and publish-subscribe patterns. (e.g. Apache Kafka)
- Proficiency in setting up, maintaining or using CI/CD pipelines using tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
