Job Title: MRI Technician

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. No weekend work required.

Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified MRI Technician to operate our advanced MRI equipment. While prior experience with animals is not required, a keen interest in learning about animal anatomy, such as shoulders and knee caps, is essential. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating MRI machines independently and registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
Key Responsibilities:
- MRI Operation: Independently operate MRI machines to perform imaging procedures for animal patients.
- Anatomy Learning: Develop knowledge of animal anatomy relevant to MRI imaging, including understanding key parts like shoulders and knee caps.
- Advanced Training: Over time, acquire additional skills in monitoring animals under general anesthesia, learning to insert IVs, and understanding anesthesia protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with veterinary staff to ensure high-quality imaging and contribute to patient care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient information.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with advancements in MRI technology and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating MRI machines. Candidates with more experience will be considered for a higher salary.
- Registration: Must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
- Interest in Animal Anatomy: Willingness to learn about animal anatomy and imaging needs.
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate MRI machines independently and handle complex imaging procedures.
