Job Title: Programme Executive
Reports to: Manager (Support and Advocacy Services)
Executive Director
The Programme Executive reports to the Manager, Support & Advocacy Services. He / she will assist and support the Manager and Executive Director in relation to activities, services and programmes of Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) (DSA).
The role requires the candidate to plan and develop, implement and manage new enrichment programmes. Evaluating and reviewing feedback from participants and trainer of the programme.
The ideal candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, service providers, relevant government agencies, academic institutions (schools / Institutions of Higher Learning), community & social service agencies, for the purpose of networking, resource sharing, referral, collaborations, and support assistance. The ideal candidate would be able to do design work for our Social Media platform.
Candidate will support in administration like suverys, feedbacks and reports submission for the various activies and funded programme
He / she should be purpose driven with strong interest and commitment for social services and community work. The candidate also possess desirable personal character and traits such as integrity, creativity, resilience, tenacity and drive for continuous learning and excellence with good ability for self-management and to influence other for the greater good.
1. Programme Planning Plan
- Plan, develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate DSA programmes and initiatives (e.g. performance / relevance, etc.)
- Administer, manage, liaise, and coordinate with trainers, instructors, service providers and participants for DSA programmes and initiatives.
2. Outreach and Publicity
- Conduct outreach and publicity efforts to engage the Down Syndrome community and engage target participants for DSA programmes and initiatives.
3. Collaborations, Information sharing and Networking
- Liase with colleagues and external parties for learners’ performance..
- Maintain close communications and actively engage DSA members, individuals with Down Syndrome, their families and the community in activities and programmes provided by DSA through information sharing and networking.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, service providers, relevant government agencies, academic institutions (schools / Institutions of Higher Learning), community & social service agencies, for the purpose of networking, resource sharing, referral, collaborations, and support assistance.
4. Learning and Development
- Participate and contribute to relevant workshops, conferences and seminars pertaining to the development of persons with Down Syndrome.
5. Reports and Updates
- Prepare and circulate the monthly DSA update to all members in the first week of every month.
- Prepare and collate monthly reports on programmes, initiatives and any other relevant training information as designated or required by the Management or the Board of Management.
6. Meetings and Secretarial Support
- Attend relevant meetings and to provide secretariat support as necessary.
- Carry out and implement any other tasks / duties assigned by the Manager or the Executive Director.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification : Diploma in Business management, marketing, communications or other relevant disciplines.
- 1 year of relevant experience. Experience in running / managing programmes or a similar capacity in the social service sector will be advantageous.
