Ventas Bio Pte. Ltd. is seeking a motivated and talented Machine Learning Intern focusing on Large Language Models (LLM) and open-source technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with LLMs, such as GPT-3 and BERT, and familiarity with open-source tools like Ollama.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Development:
- Conduct research on state-of-the-art large language models and their applications in the medical and biotechnology domains.
- Explore and implement new methodologies and algorithms to enhance the performance and capabilities of LLMs.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and open source technologies.
Data Collection and Preprocessing:
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets to be used for training and fine-tuning LLMs.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate data processing tasks and ensure data quality.
Model Training and Fine-Tuning:
- Train and fine-tune large language models on specific medical and biotechnological datasets.
- Optimize model performance through hyperparameter tuning, regularization techniques, and other best practices.
Model Evaluation and Testing:
- Evaluate the performance of LLMs using appropriate metrics and benchmarks.
- Conduct rigorous testing to ensure model robustness, accuracy, and reliability.
- Identify and address any biases or ethical concerns associated with the models.
Deployment and Integration:
- Assist in deploying LLMs into production environments, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and workflows.
- Develop APIs and interfaces to facilitate the use of LLMs by other team members and stakeholders.
Open Source Collaboration:
- Leverage open source technologies, such as Ollama, to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.

- Stay informed about the latest developments in open source communities and incorporate best practices into internal projects.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts, to define project requirements and objectives.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of research processes, code, experiments, and results.

Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Experience with large language models (e.g., GPT-3, BERT) and natural language processing techniques.
- Familiarity with open source technologies, such as Ollama.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
