M&E Project Engineer

Responsibilities: -

  1. To manage projects in various stage of activities including the preparation of scope of work, subcontracts, and customer proposals.
  2. To prepare and monitor project budgets to control cost and keep to clients’ budget requirements.
  3. Planning project schedule, forecasting engineering activities and procurement of materials required for project to ensure timely completion of project.
  4. Preparing and providing technical interpretation of design documents in support of installation such as checking of drawings, preparation of data sheets for client approval, project BOM, SOW for subcontractor.
  5. Design and detailed design including equipment selection, duct and pipe sizing, and work with drafting team on the development of construction and shop drawings.
  6. Review method statement for construction activities and Safe Work Procedure for operational plant & Construction site.
  7. To provide specific expertise for problem solving of mechanical and electrical issues and providing technical evaluation of subcontractor and equipment proposals.
  8. Monitor and inspect construction to ensure compliance with design documents.
  9. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and other departments to ensure smooth completion of the project including monitoring Workers’ and Subcontractors’ work progress.
  10. To ensure timely submission of monthly progress claim.

Requirements:

  • At least a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent certificates.
  • Fresh Degree Graduates or Diploma holders with minimum 2 years of experience in Construction industry managing M&E projects in semiconductors or pharmaceutical industry or in a subcontracting firm are welcome to apply.
  • Good understanding of commercial M&E systems.
  • Good working knowledge in construction contract / commercial term and condition.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and Project scheduling Software.
  • Good understanding in managing ACAD and BIM operations.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills and experienced in managing staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (including technical writing and presentations) with ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and senior management staff.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and a dedicated team player.
  • Highly motivated individuals with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
