ROLE:
- The Regional architect is responsible to implement at the regional level the architecture strategy by following the Enterprise Architectural plan defined.
- He / she ensures proposed and existing solution designs are aligned with global Enterprise Architecture.
- He /she acts as the regional focal point for global Enterprise Architects and Global Application Portfolio Manager and the global solution architecture community.
- He / she ensures the continuous improvement of existing solutions and technology portfolio.
- He / she ensures to use the existing solutions and technology in their full potential.
- He / she presents and promotes the current solutions architecture to the regional business.
- He / she ensures that local / regional demand is processed in coherence with the global IT strategy with regards to applications and architecture.
- He / she will make sure that the demand is managed through the established global process, in order to identify the proper solutions and the correct architecture approach together with the community of group Enterprise Architects and Solution Architects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Builds and maintains the regional IT Roadmap based on regional business requirements and global & regional solution roadmaps.
- Analyzes the portfolio of applications to develop, document, and communicate plans for investing in solutions, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
- Liaises with Enterprise Architecture and the design authority represented by the community of practice of Solution architects to build the target end to end system architecture for the region encompassing global and regional solutions
- Ensures proposed and existing solution designs are aligned with global Enterprise Architecture and the Global Solution architects.
- Feeds global Architecture (Enterprise and Solution) with regional specificities, needs and constrains.
- Conducts research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommends technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility.
- Makes recommendations to improve and/or replace existing solutions and technology portfolio of the organization.
- Documents and updates the existing solutions and technology portfolio of the organization.
- Acts as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them understand the current solutions architecture and gains endorsement for future solutions and spend.
- Presents solutions from a functional/business point of view to internal and external customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
- Singaporean/PR
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in IT applications and 2 year in solution architecture
- Knowledge of business / applications
- Detail-oriented & customer oriented, ability to develop and entertain intimacy with business and operations stakeholders
- Experience working in an international environment and understanding of complex organizations
