Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new features and functionality for WordPress websites.
- Establish and guide the website’s architecture to ensure high-performance and availability.
- Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Ensure high-performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Conduct website performance tests and optimize as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website problems and bugs.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other stakeholders to deliver effective and efficient websites.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our sites are up-to-date with the latest standards.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites.
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
- Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
- Ability to convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial.
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and integrations (e.g., WooCommerce).
- Experience with website analytics and SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with website hosting environments and databases.
