What a System Architeect does in HP:
- Sets the strategy for new printhead and bottle supplies.
- Guide the team on execution of pre and on-program activities.
- Interface between the supplies and hardware engineering from design inception through manufacturing teams, finding synergies, and fostering collaboration across the teams.
- Staying current through competitive analysis and steers how that influences our approach.
- Partner up, communicating with directors and VPs as well as across and down with peers and engineers.
- Coaching and leading knowledge transfer with our teams.
Individuals who will do well in this role usually possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology,
- Proven experience as a System Architect, Software Architect, or a similar role in designing and implementing complex systems.
- In-depth knowledge of system design principles, software architecture, and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
