Job Description
We are looking for senior R&D Engineer to engage in the research and development of our next generation product. The incumbent will be responsible to develop complex photonic devices from design through fabrication, testing and analysis in our Singapore Office. You’ll be working alongside other experienced silicon photonics designers with strong records of transforming innovative and complex photonic device into mass-produced product in the market. We are looking for a self-driven, independent senior professional that’s able to adapt to a fast-moving and vibrant technology development environment. Most important, you should be a good team player with the desire to learn.
Responsibilities:
· Design of active and passive photonic devices and/or complex photonic integrated circuits and systems
· Support product development and process fabrication teams with the designs
· Work and deliver designs under tight tape-out schedules
· Contribute to test development and lead the test data analysis of your devices to correlate design with measurements
· Collaborate with all other functional teams in the organization to deliver co-designed and co-optimized photonics systems
Requirements:
· M.S. or Ph.D. in relevant field
· >2 years of working experience is preferred
· Good understanding of general concepts in physics, especially in optics or electromagnetics
· Strong understanding of general concepts in fibre optics and integrated photonics.
· Experience with designing or characterizing silicon photonic or other integrated optical/optoelectronic devices or circuits.
· Proficiency with photonics design tools, such as Lumerical and Rsoft.
Good to have:
· Experience in photonic integrated circuit design, modelling and layout.
· Experience with high-frequency design and modelling.
