He/She will be part of the Research Department to help undertake research and analysis on issues that are relevant to the institution using data science techniques. He/She will work with multidisciplinary teams/stakeholders (e.g. clinicians, pharmacists, managers) to determine how to use business data for valuable healthcare solutions.
He/She will help in data collection and cleaning, analysis using statistical techniques and software, creating reports and visualization and presenting to non-technical stakeholders.
He/She will also be involved in developing relevant visualizations dashboards for monitoring purposes as well as develop and implement data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
He/She will also conduct literature review on specific research projects, be involved in scientific writing and/or generate technical reports. This will keep him/her abreast with the latest innovations in data science.
Requirements:
- Foundation in computer science, modeling, statistics, analytics & mathematics, coupled with a strong business sense
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques, including decision tree, random forest, clustering, artificial neural networks; possess solid foundation and practical experience with statistical programming languages (e.g. Python, R, Tableau, Stata, SPSS) to process data and gain insights from it
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Demonstrate good communication and presentation capabilities, and able to intrepret complex insights in a simplified way for non-technical stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations
- Candidate also need to be a team player and have a strong organizational skills
- Ability to write reports, grant proposals and scientific papers. Track record of scientific publications is advantageous
