Job Description & Requirements
As a Senior Systems administrator manage a team and responsible for designing, planning, IT software and hardware maintenance, and having the highest level of performance as an expert in the system administration for computers and their complex operating systems. Plan, implement, oversee and maintain server and network infrastructures and projects.
Configure internal systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
Supervise the Operations team
Upgrade the network infrastructure
Install servers, devices, and firewalls
Provide technical services and support for the company IT infrastructure
Maintain IBM Server and upkeep the server accessible during business transactions
Monitor the performance of servers, software, and hardware
Ensure the smooth deployment of new applications
Update technical documentation
Back up the server SQL database at regular intervals.
Network-level: LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
Maintain internal systems, cloud, and network infrastructure.
Virtualization technologies: VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft
Remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix
Remote monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications
Work escalated support issues related to Microsoft's core business solutions, WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, security, and remote access solutions.
Perform network assessments and security audits
Work with Sales Team to Engineer projects, identify new products and solutions, and research solutions for issues.
Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure
Work with executive team members, decision-makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications.
Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
Provide orientation and training to end-users for all modified and new systems.
Must be able to work on both Saturday, Sunday, and Public holidays, off days, will be on weekdays only.
