Summary
We are looking for an experienced liner Operations Department Manager to join the CNC management team. In this role, you will be reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and you will be responsible for the Liner Operations for CNC. You will be leading a team of Operations Managers, Ship managers and Operations Assistants to ensure that our operations and services rendered to our customers are well optimized.
We are looking for someone with strong leadership experience, strong sense of pro-activity, capability to deliver under pressure and deadline constraints, and good team player.
Your main responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Train and manage the Operations team in Singapore and Malaysia for Intra-Asia services.
- Ensure fleet performance and service reliability by monitoring voyage performance, including off-hire, stoppages, and delays
- Collaborate with vessel masters, ship managers, and port agents to ensure smooth voyages and efficient port operations.
- Monitor vessel performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, such as optimizing speed and fuel consumption.
- Optimize vessel stowage and reduce operating expenses (OPEX) by managing factors like crane intensity and cargo shifting.
- Adhere to OPEX programs and provide timely updates to the COO on vessel operations and performance.
- Collaborate with the bunker team on fuel supply strategies, ensuring efficient bunkering at designated ports.

To perform well in the role, you should possess excellent communication, conceptualization and analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Minimum requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in container shipping operations with 8 years of experience in people management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in short sea lines
- Seafaring background up to Chief Officer is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Proven track record to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
