Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Provide daily and strategic engineering oversight to the Mechanical and Operations team in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment’s and systems.
· Interfaces with Facilities supervisors and managers to resolve operational problems.
· Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
· Provides project status of assigned task list items to facilities supervisors, managers, and other internal department personnel, as necessary.
· Works as a collaborator and with a wide variety of other professionals to find unique solutions to challenging problems.
· Preparing reports and documentation.
· Monitor maintenance plans and schedules.
· Coordinating contractors for installation and maintenance projects.
· Inspect work completed by contractors for compliance and safety.
· Plan, schedule, and supervise Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work activities, priorities and reallocate resource when required, on mechanical equipment system under the responsibilities of facilities organization.
· Conducting research on systems and equipment and presenting this information to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
· Evaluating the efficiency of systems and equipment within a facility.
· Lead and participate in equipment and system abnormalities root cause analysis, attend review meeting, and provide update, then execute corrective and preventive action for continual improvement, this includes installation and modification work on existing or new mechanical equipment and system.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Be able to conduct conditional assessment for existing systems.
· Estimate labour for complex mechanical system installation.
· Develop expertise in equipment as assigned.
· Generate Project ROM, Budget Estimates, Power Point Presentation
· Must possess leadership abilities and good client maintenance skills.
· Knowledge of fire alarm systems.
· Understanding of building regulations and health and safety.
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work well with non-engineering colleagues.
· Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot on the spot.
· Experience with project management principles.
· Fire safety manager is advantageous.
