We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Concept Design Engineer to lead innovative design initiatives and support the Mechanical Integration Development team for hearing aids. This role will enhance the team’s design expertise and best practices through cutting-edge mechanical solutions.
What you will do
- Lead the design and development of Behind-The-Ear (BTE) hearing aid concepts, including plastic, metal, and rubber parts, using appropriate software
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies, conduct risk assessments, testing, and proof of concept
- Collaborate with suppliers, research institutions, and experts in hardware, acoustics, and simulation for innovation and development of future hearing aid technologies
- Analyze competitor products and formulate strategic initiatives for new technology in the hearing aid industry
- Contribute to cross-functional and global projects, introduce new engineering concepts, and stay updated on industry trends
- Apply critical thinking and drive project success through initiative, teamwork, and effective execution of forefront technology.
What you bring
Experience
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Product Design stream preferred)
- 5-7 years professional experience working in consumer product design and development
- Extensive design experience with metal, plastic, rubber, and electro-mechanical components, including decorative processes such as IMD, NCVM, and coatings
- Proficient in CAD modeling, Tolerance Analysis, DFMEA, FEA, DOE, DFSS and Product Development Process
