Overview
The Project Manager’s role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and budgets, compiling detailed reports, analyzing project metrics, and ensuring the efficient development and deployment of global technology products.
This role is critical for ensuring effective communication, accurate reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Project planning, monitoring project status, and managing project interdependencies and deliverables.
- Agreed with the product owner on the roadmap and project deliverables.
- Oversight all project activities and act as the key contact for the business project team.
- Assist the product owner to manage the day-to-day operation and be able the drive the project from start to end.
- Stakeholder management from various level ranged from Local Business Units. representative, Senior management to Steering committee members.
- Project documentation - define & establish the project repository in Confluence.
- Resource planning and facilitate the onboarding process of the external vendor or project resources.
- Oversight the budget and manage the spending across all aspects.
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress and make recommendations for improvement.
- Application of change control procedures.
- Obtain timely agreement from key stakeholders.
- Experience on both Waterfall and Agile project methodology and practice.
- PMO experience will be an added advantage.
- Facilitate Infrastructure/Networking provisioning for solution.
- Facilitate the Architecture design and seek the relative party approval based on the company's internal process.
- Manage the Security/Compliance clearance for IT related project.
- Facilitate the DevSecOps process adopted by the company.
- Facilitate on the Target operating Model design for the Solution
- Facilitate the solution transition from Project to BAU model
Experience and Qualification
- Experience Level: Proven experience 10+ years as a Tech Project Manager, preferably in the technology or related domains.
- Education Level: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field
- Personal Attributes: Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities, effective problem-solving skills.
- Specific Skills: Expertise in technical project management, understanding of IT initiatives, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Personal integrity and an ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information
- Having application support background is desirable.
Technologies and Tools
- Sound knowledge of cloud technology or SaaS/PaaS/IaaS technology
- Familiar with MS Azure suite of services e.g., Data lake, Data Brick, ADF & API management
- Experience in implement Cloud application (SaaS/PaaS) is a must.
- Understanding of the charging model for Cloud subscription service is a plus
- Experience in implementing Cloud application in Regional level & the scope is expected to cover the local business unit
- Ability to adopt to Agile methodology for project implementation
- Use of Agile management tool such as Jira & Confluence
- Understanding the CI/CD DevOps Model and have knowledge on the tool e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform etc.
