We are looking for an Application Support Engineer for one of our clients in Singapore. Your role will be to provide second-level support for local government application systems developed in Java. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of applications, and collaborating with other support levels and development teams to maintain high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely resolution of incidents and service requests related to Java-based government application systems.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Analyze recurring incidents to identify root causes and implement permanent solutions.
- Document known issues and workarounds to aid in quicker resolution of future incidents.
- Monitor application performance and system health, using monitoring tools and logs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as patching and updates, to ensure application stability and security.
- Share knowledge and best practices within the support team to foster a collaborative learning environment.
Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience
- Proven experience in a technical support role, specifically with Java-based applications.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Oracle 19C) and SQL.
- Experience with application servers like Redhat JBOSS EAP V7.2.9, Weblogic 12, and IIS Proxy Server preferably.
Working hours:
“Support Hours” means hours from 7.30 am to 7pm from Mondays to Fridays, with Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays accepted (following Singapore’s calendar)
