Job Scope:
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer - Microsoft Business Intelligence to join the Data & Analytics team of the Digital Excellence Center (DEC) department. This person will be a part of a dynamic team, focused on massively improving the operational efficiency of the organization related to on-premise or on our hybrid platform.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented team player to be part of a technology team that is responsible of a portfolio of solutions for various business lines of the bank (Risk, Finance, Compliance, Market Risk, Trade Finance, Operations, and Advanced Analytics tools evaluations).
This role will report to Data Analytics team head of the Digital Excellence Center department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather business requirements from clients and/or business analysts.
- Design and develop new functionalities based on requirements.
- Maintain a high standard of delivery quality.
- Support existing Business Intelligence (BI) applications on their evolution based on the urgency.
- Innovate and look for new solutions/components.
- Build proof of concept (POC) to demonstrate new usage and present them in senior audience.
- Ensure project documentations are up to date (technical design, deployment guide, release notes, etc.).
- Implement any possible automation of a recurrent process.
- Work closely with the team, internal stakeholders and other cross-functional teams.
Job Qualifications:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Studies/Engineering or relevant experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence.
- Minimum 6 years of experience with Microsoft BI stack components.
- 4+ years of experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) (extract, transform, and load) and PowerBI / SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- 2+ years of experience in SQL data warehousing design & development.
- Good exposure / experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) (specifically on Tabular).
- Expertise in data modeling, SQL query and performance tuning.
- Exposure to other data visualization tools e.g., Tableau, Qlik is good to have.
- Exposure with data processing pipelining using Python, Spark, etc.
- Exposure to programming with C#.Net.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence Markup Language (BIML) is advantageous.
- Proactive style of working with a good ethos of continuous learning.
