About the role
As as integral part of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Function, reporting to the APAC Ethics & Compliance Director, this role will support the implementation of the CEVA Compliance program across the region and ensure CEVA's compliance with E&C regulations, principles, and standards in Asia-Pacific.
Working closely with the APAC Compliance Team, the Legal Team, the HR Team, the Finance Team, and the IT Security Team, this role will also serve as a point of contact for E&C issues facing our business teams. This role offers the chance to impact our E&C practices and uphold high E&C standards significantly, as well as drive sustainable business growth in line with our values.
What you will be doing
Support the implementation of the CEVA Compliance program across the Asia Pacific region by managing several Compliance processes such as:
1) Global Trade Compliance
- Support the local entities on GTC matters (e.g. shipments review, suppliers’ due diligence…).
- Support the Duty of Vigilance initiatives implementation.
2) Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure the application of the anticorruption policies and processes (e.g. Gifts, Entertainment & Hospitality…).
- Review, negotiate and draft compliance clauses in contracts.
- Lead the APAC competition laws program across the Asia Pacific region.
3) Governance
- Manage APAC Compliance communication (e.g. Newsletter, messages to Management, Events…) with an emphasis on GHO compliance communication.
- Support the application of the regional training plan and conduct training sessions.
- Ensure regular communication & reporting to GHO.
- Lead and support Compliance investigations.
- Support the compliance risk mapping exercise and the follow-up actions.
The successful candidate
- Academic degree in the relevant area, including Law or Compliance from a recognized university or similar relevant qualification.
- At least three years of experience in ethics, integrity, compliance, or related areas.
- General knowledge in Ethics & Compliance (i.e. international Anti-Bribery and Corruption laws, Trade Compliance, Human Rights, Data Protection and Competition Laws in Asia-Pacific, Risk Mapping).
- Ability to provide Comparative Law analyses.
- High proficiency in English (both oral & written) with strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, independent, solid team contributor, able to work independently and cross-functionally in an international environment.
- Ability to balance a good understanding of commercial issues with safeguarding compliance and meeting regulatory requirements.
- Ability to organize own work in a dynamic working environment, deliver on different topics within agreed timelines and build/ manage productive working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Prior experience with Internal Investigation, Internal Audit, or Internal Control activities is a plus.
