Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a passion for interior design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in AutoCAD, preferably hold a diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, and possess 0-1 year of relevant experience. This role involves preparing cost estimates, sourcing materials, managing tenders, and ensuring accurate project documentation and claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Quotations and Cost Estimates: Develop accurate and detailed quotations, cost estimates, and bills of quantities for interior design projects.
- Tender Preparation and Submission: Prepare and submit tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
- Material Procurement: Source and procure necessary materials, negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors to secure competitive prices.
- Work Approval Submissions: Handle the submission of work approval documents to relevant local authorities.
- Tender Administration Management: Oversee the tender administration process, including the evaluation of price comparisons and preparation of costing summaries.
- Monthly Progress Claims: Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to customers, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
- Project Variation and Site Instructions: Prepare, verify, and maintain records of project variation work and site instructions.
- Additional Duties: Perform other quantity surveying-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or project manager.
- Site Meetings and Documentation: Attend site meetings and record minutes, ensuring clear communication and documentation of project progress and decisions.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must.
- Preferably hold a diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- 0-1 year of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably in interior design.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of local building regulations and authority submission processes is an advantage.
